Car parking

Concarneau

In Concarneau, all the town’s parking spaces are free all year round except during the summer months. However, certain car parks and streets are regulated in a blue zone with a compulsory parking disc (1h30) from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm. For example: Place Jean Jaurès, Avenue Pierre Guéguin, Avenue de la Gare, Quai Carnot, etc.

From 16 June to 14 September 2025, car parks in the town centre will be subject to parking ticket machines or the Presto Park mobile application, 7 days a week, from 10am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 7pm.

Free local car parks are available all year round, just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre and the main tourist attractions:
* Station car park – avenue de la Gare: 15 minutes’ walk from the Ville Close or the Glénan pier.
* the Caserne car park – avenue de la Gare: 20 minutes’ walk from the Ville Close or the Glénan pier
* Lin car park – rue du professeur Legendre: a 10-minute walk from the Ville Close or the Glénan pier.
* Place Duquesne: 2-minute walk to the Ville Close via the Passage ferry.
* Sables Blancs car park – rue des Sables Blancs: a 20-minute walk from the Ville Close or the Glénan pier via the green lane.
* the collège des Sables Blancs car park – avenue Robert Jan: 10 minutes’ walk from the Ville Close or from the Glénan pier via the green route
* Porzou car park – allée Jean Bouin: 30 minutes’ walk from the Ville Close via the Passage ferry.

During the summer months, it can be difficult to park in the town centre, particularly on market days (Mondays and Fridays) and during the Festival des Filets Bleus (13-17 August 2025). We advise you to park in the free car parks as soon as you arrive in Concarneau, or to use public transport or soft mobility such as cycling!

The free car parks can be reached from the town centre by the Coralie bus network. Lines 1 and 4 run 7/7 in summer to the Gare and Caserne car parks.

There are also 20-minute stops in front of pharmacies and the town hall.

Access to the Ville Close is closed to traffic from mid-June to mid-September, except for residents and shopkeepers, who can use it before 10.30am and after 7pm.
