Concarneau has enjoyed a special relationship with artists since the mid-19th century. Its port, its traditions and its seaside villas are all sources of inspiration for painters and sculptors. In addition to the art galleries, the culture department also manages other exhibition venues. In Le Cabellou, from April to October, the Chapelle Saint-Fiacre is home to a number of artists who come to present their work and talk to the public.
La Coursive, on the 1st floor of the Town Hall, presents exhibitions by local artists and associations throughout the year, as well as work by schoolchildren as part of their educational projects.
